President’s Message

I am extremely honoured to be elected as the Club President of this fiscal year (2010-2011). As all the BODs and I embark on my new term of office, I would like to emphasize that we as lions shall concentrate on providing humanitarian and community service to the poor and the less fortunate. Our District Governor’s theme this year is “Together we Serve as One” which requires all Lions to be committed in providing service to those in need working hand in hand in harmony with one another so as to bring the best out of us.

Let me quote what our DG had said, “Let the Lions be a Beacon of Hope to those in need and make a difference in their lives.” I urge all my club members to bear this quote in mind and together as One we shall work together to realise it.

This is the fouth year for me as a Lion since our club chartered, and I’m more than proud to be a Lion that is able to serve the community. I truly hope that with the mentoring from our Charter President, Lion Tai Foo Hin and our Immediate Past President, Lion Leow Kuow Yeong, I not only able to lead the club into another year of fruitful projects and activities, but also lots of fellowship and friendship. Thus, I would like to take this opportunity to show my greatest gratitude to both my mentors and shall they be my “Beacon of Hope” when I am in need of assistance, resources and guidance.

All members of Lions Club of Kota Tinggi, be proud of yourself as a Lion, and let’s have another enjoyable year of running projects and bonding good fellowship, always remember “Together we Serve as One”.
